David Lee
Clinic Owner/Director
Chartered Physiotherapist, Strength and Conditioning Specialist

About David

David is a highly qualified and experienced Chartered Physiotherapist, Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and Acupuncturist.

He graduated from Cardiff University with a First-Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy and has since developed a diverse and advanced clinical portfolio spanning elite sport, private practice, and NHS environments.

Professional Experience

David’s career has included work across high-performance sport and multidisciplinary clinical settings, including:

  • Cardiff City Football Club

  • Welsh Netball and Super League Netball

  • Ironman and Ultra-endurance events

  • Competitive surfing environments

  • NHS clinical services

  • Private practice and event physiotherapy provision

This breadth of experience allows him to confidently manage clients ranging from general population presentations to elite-level athletes competing at the highest standards.

Integrated Rehabilitation & Performance Philosophy

Throughout his career, David has refined a distinctive approach that integrates injury rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, movement re-education, and selected principles drawn from both Western and Eastern therapeutic models.

His clinical work spans diverse movement disciplines including:

  • Football

  • Dressage

  • Rhythmic gymnastics

  • Golf

  • Tennis/Squash

  • Surfing and Stand-Up Paddle-boarding

  • CrossFit

  • Triathlon

Central to his practice is a deep understanding of movement mechanics, loading strategies, and performance progression. His passion lies in re-educating movement patterns, identifying inefficiencies, and building structured pathways that optimise both recovery and performance longevity.

Bridging Rehabilitation to Performance

David has a particular interest in advanced rehabilitation and “bridging the gap” between injury recovery and return to play.

He works closely with individuals who are driven to train, compete, and perform — guiding them not only back to activity, but toward levels of function and resilience that exceed pre-injury capacity.

A key component of his work involves maintaining training around injury wherever appropriate, reducing detraining effects, and addressing both the physiological and psychological impact of injury. This integrated approach ensures individuals remain engaged, empowered, and progressing throughout the rehabilitation process.

Relocation to Cornwall

In 2019, David relocated to Cornwall, bringing with him extensive experience from elite sport, clinical practice, and performance environments. He now applies this expertise to support and develop the local community — from aspiring athletes to seasoned competitors and active individuals.

David is fully qualified and registered with:

  • The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

About Liz

Liz graduated from the University of Manchester in 2000 and has since built extensive experience working within major NHS teaching hospitals, GP surgeries and private practices across the UK.

Shoulder Rehabilitation & Clinical Pilates

She spent two years working alongside pioneering surgeons at the Reading Shoulder Unit, where she gained invaluable experience in assessing and treating a wide range of shoulder conditions.

This developed into a keen interest in rehabilitation and led Liz to qualify as a Clinical Pilates Instructor. She subsequently worked in a fully equipped Pilates studio alongside her physiotherapy role at the Reading Shoulder Unit.

Biomechanics & Bike Fitting

Liz’s understanding of rehabilitation and biomechanics also helped her secure and develop a role as a Bike Fitter for Specialized. She combined bike fitting with her physiotherapy practice for ten years, helping cyclists improve comfort, movement efficiency and performance.

Treatment Philosophy

Liz is experienced in treating a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions, but particularly enjoys helping people with longstanding or recurrent problems.

“Find the cause. Train the change.”

She believes that our everyday lifestyle choices, behaviours, movement patterns and postures can all influence our physical health. Liz incorporates these factors into her assessment and treatment to help people make meaningful, sustainable changes.

Her other areas of interest include pregnancy-related aches and pains, together with pre- and postnatal exercise and fitness.

Outside the Clinic

Outside work, Liz describes herself as a “jack of all trades, master of none.” Her hobbies include tennis, gardening, cycling, skiing, dog walking, strength training, sea swimming, attempting to surf and playing the tin whistle.

Her other roles include being roadie for her husband’s band and driving her son to skateparks.
